The Second Half of Chaos

Those Crazy Summer Days where the fantasy of summer has died,
(deep sigh and tilt head).
After the beloved Independence day festivities and all the out
of school hype from June, Summer starts to get a little monotonous.
If you’re the parent that plans the family summer vacations for the
second half of the season, you’re super smart and I want to be
your friend when you rent out the beach house for July 20-Aug 5th.
For the rest of us that are on overload trying to hold down the job
and the house as well as maintain marshal law
mid July things get… a little nuts. I’m not sure if it’s the
pop up thundershowers or the lack of less structure for that long a time.
What I do know is that the crazy in all of my family members starts to emerge.
YIKES
I’m not alone
I can feel that I’m not alone
because when I go to the store or the park I see
the parents that are scrambling just like me.
Ya know desperation has kicked in when the
Elmers Glue section at Walmart is depleted….
Yep some parents who said “NO SLIME” broke and bought glue.
I’m with ya! Im right there in the walmart debating to
buy more glue this far from school?
(Because unless it’s the night before school starts slime can be made in as little as 10 minutes)
All of the school supplies bought are hidden away because my slime addict sensory child has broke in and stole the school glue purchased for SCHOOL.
Stinker.

How many days till school….
Down to single digits!
