have you started to experience the abnormal chaos surrounding your child and the sensory/ emotional overload

Before you peer out the window to see if its a full moon

lets just blame it all on School!

Scheduled transition is just the PITS. Seriously, the act of throwing our children out into this great big world is daunting to say the least. And before you say "Well I've PLANNED" just hold on. I've been the parent who has planned been prepared and prepped.... all those words mean are you're 50% ready!

50% ready for what ever curve ball your kid wants to throw at ya.

Its in those moments when you really need to be grounded inside and know YOU.

Some times we lose us. We push ourselves back and our kids to the front. This is only hurting the problem that could be bubbling under the surface and if you are not careful the unhealthy things that could come out of you may be too harsh to think about.

So HOW do we as moms, parents, care givers, stay in a right mental state?!

Here are 5 of my things thrive figured out fit and work for me when i need to regroup!

Number 1: BREATH- I try to breath in the biggest breath my lungs will allow me to take in. I breath as deep as my problem or frustration and push it out!

Number 2: WALK AWAY- if the breathing didn't work i walk away Yep normally this is the last thing people say to do but you I can choose to walk away again if i need to!

Number 3: REFLECTION- I try every day in the morning to get Me time In. My evening are very much a battle and never mind how many times my children have been alive they've also gone to bed that same number of times they can't handle it! (Hair pulling out moment). SO i decided at the beginning of 2018 to start getting up in the morning if at all possible to get my coffee in and enjoy the quiet before the chaos. Reading some encouraging verses from my Message Bible help.

Number 4: SHOWER- I shower like its a vacation most days! It sounds silly maybe but i enjoy the alone time that i can lock the door and just wash off the day. I prefer to get into bed clean and especially when i get my fun fab fit box in the mail i love the luxurious lotions or my Essential oils i have as well.

Number 5: COFFEEE- yes i have come to enjoy my cup of coffee and because i limit myself typically to just my morning cup and maybe for a week out of the month a have a second cup but i really enjoy the smell the taste.

BONUS: I listen to baby lullabies on pandora. That inline radio station just plays the best peaceful soft music and i can really get into writing or editing before sleep. its free you should try it out if you haven't yet.

This wraps up my self care plan.... I hope you can sit down and see some of the things maybe you already do or maybe you could adjust to help yourself even more!
